Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and the developer of Petumi, as listed on the App Store and Google Play (“we”, “us”), for your use of the Petumi app and petumi.app. By using Petumi you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Petumi.
Who can use Petumi
You must be at least 13 years old. If you’re under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian’s permission, and they are responsible for your use and any purchases.
Your account
Petumi starts with an anonymous account tied to your device. If you delete the app or change devices without signing in with Apple, Google or email, you may lose access to your account and we may not be able to recover it.
You’re responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.
Families
Each account belongs to one family at a time. A family has one Owner — the person who pays for it — and can have other members.
- Only the Owner can invite members and remove them.
- Everything in a family is shared with all of its current members, and any member can add, edit or delete the family’s pets, logs, reminders, memories and creations. Only invite people you trust.
- A family’s access depends on the Owner’s subscription. If it ends, every member can still view the family’s history, but can’t add, edit or delete records or chat until it’s renewed. Credits the family already has can still be used, and anyone can still delete their account.
Subscriptions
Petumi offers subscription plans billed monthly or yearly, sold through the App Store or Google Play. Plans differ in what they include: the Manual plan doesn’t include AI features or monthly credits. The purchase screen shows what each plan includes and its price.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the price shown when you subscribed, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your store account is charged within 24 hours before renewal.
- Introductory offers. Some monthly plans offer a discounted first month to new subscribers, once per person across all Petumi plans. The App Store or Google Play decides who is eligible. After the first month, the plan renews at the regular price shown on the purchase screen.
- Cancelling. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or your Petumi account does not cancel it.
- Price changes. If a price changes, your store will notify you in advance as its rules require.
- Refunds. Payments are handled by Apple or Google, and refund requests go to them under their policies.
Credits
Credits are used to generate AI images and videos.
- Your family gets credits each month with an eligible subscription, and the Owner can buy credit packs. All credits go into one balance shared by the family.
- The number of credits a generation costs is shown before you start it. If a generation fails, its credits are returned.
- Credits don’t expire, have no cash value, can’t be exchanged for money or transferred to another family, and are non-refundable except where required by law or by the store’s refund policy.
- We may stop offering credits or change what they can be used for; if we discontinue AI generation entirely, we’ll give reasonable notice.
AI features
Petumi uses AI to turn your chat into logs and reminders, to let your pet reply in chat, and to generate images and videos.
- AI can be wrong. It may misunderstand what you said, create an incorrect record, or say something inaccurate. Check what it records and fix anything that’s wrong.
- Not veterinary advice. Nothing in Petumi, including anything your pet or the Helper says, is medical or veterinary advice. Always consult a veterinarian about your pet’s health.
- Don’t rely on it alone for critical care. Notifications can be delayed or missed because of your device, network or settings. For time-critical medication or treatment, keep another reminder too.
- Generated content may not be unique and may look like content others have generated.
Your content
You keep ownership of the text, photos and videos you add to Petumi, and of the AI results you generate, to the extent the law allows.
You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process and display your content, and to send it to our service providers, only as needed to operate and improve Petumi for you and your family. This license ends when your content is deleted from our systems.
You’re responsible for your content and must have the rights to everything you upload, including photos of other people.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Petumi to:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
- upload or generate content that is sexual, violent, hateful or harassing, or that depicts real people without their consent;
- harm animals or promote their mistreatment;
- try to get around usage limits, credits or payments;
- access or interfere with our systems or other users’ data, or scrape, reverse engineer or overload the service;
- use Petumi mainly as a general-purpose AI tool, or store large amounts of files unrelated to your pets.
We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Changes to Petumi and these terms
Petumi will change over time, and we may add, change or remove features. We may update these terms; if a change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Petumi after that means you accept the new terms.
Ending your use
You can stop using Petumi and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we have to for legal reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive — such as credits, your content, disclaimers and limitation of liability — continue after your use ends.
Disclaimers
Petumi is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we don’t promise that Petumi will be uninterrupted, error-free or always accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to Petumi is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$50.
Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived.
App Store
If you downloaded Petumi from the Apple App Store:
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for Petumi and its content.
- Your license is limited to using Petumi on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store’s Usage Rules.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Petumi.
- If Petumi fails to meet an applicable warranty, you can notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for any claims relating to Petumi, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection and intellectual property claims.
- You confirm you are not in a country subject to a US government embargo or on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
